One Day Shy of 28th weeks.

Boy (or should I say GIRL) is the time going by fast. Already into my 3rd trimester and only 12 weeks left if I go full term.

I had a doctors appt last week and I brought in all my questions and got them all answered. I will say that deliveries are a lot different than when I delivered Michael 21 years ago but hopefully better. They have me doing KICK COUNTS now where each day for an hour I have to lay quietly and count the number of kicks. She has to kick 10 times in that hour and if not, I have to eat again and then wait 20 minutes and then do the hour count once again. If she doesnt kick 10 times in one of those hours, I have to go to Triage/ER at Mary Birch. So far so good and somedays it takes minutes and some days it take almost the full hour.

No new names to discuss but we did have Peyton on the list of possibles. Love that name but after this weekend full of football, I am not sure I want to think of Peyton Manning each time I call our daughters name so that might be out. HA! CHARGERS PLAY TONIGHT...MNF...GO CHARGERS!!!!

Michael and I headed up to see family on Sunday and it was really fun. Mom and I went shopping once again and she bought my crib set plus other piece to go along with it. I attached a pic of part of the set to this blog update. It is called PINK PEONY and it is so sweet and perfect. The muralist will integrate the flowers from the bumper pad and pillows into the flower field in the mural. I so love it. THANKS MOM!!!!

The shower this past weekend with the Military wives and friends was postponed. It was scheduled for the 12th BUT the hostessses has a passing in the family so they had to head out of town. Our thoughts are with Michelle, Lois and her family. Bev is also hosting and she was an incredible help in getting in touch with all signed up letting the know the date is being moved. Thanks Bev! Possible new dates are Oct 17th or Nov 7th. I think I am pushing for the 7th!!!

Chris is headed to Oceana VA this weekend for his show and hopefully will get to see our friend Tisha and Brennan. Miss you guys. If anyone is headed there, let us know.

Sorry no belly photos but I will try to get some this weekend to send. I gained 20 lbs and still on track for the normal weight gain according to my doctors. They say 25-32 at this point. The book says I should measure up to 28cm and I measured 27cm last week. They say you lose about 15-20 lbs immediately after birth so trying to keep it close to that on my total weight gain so the additional lbs are not so hard to get off. Chris already has me on P90X and some Insanity program...starting in Jan 2011.it is literally called Insanity. HELP!!!!

Family Baby Shower this weekend hosted by my mom and excited to see everyone and catch up with all. 2 friends, Kate and LeeAnn from San Diego are driving up with me, along with Michael but dropping him off at my sisters house for the day and then picking up Andrea flying in from Vegas for the shower. WAHOOO...Can't wait. Thanks again Mom for hosting.

Oh and I interviewed a possible nanny, Colleen, and I think we have her set to start Feb 1st. She is a friend of my sons and comes with great references. She was even going to be LT from the Chargers Nanny before they left for NY with the Jets. She is one of the Charger coaches nanny now and babysits afterschool for another family down the street. We are attemptin to work out a Mon-Thursday 8-2pm and then Friday if needed. My neighbor Amy (THANK YOU AMY) has offered to be a backup after 2pm and when needed as well. I need to talk to work on the 8-2 schedule and then Friday work from home but I think it will all work out..or at least we can try it for a few months to see how it goes. So excited to have Colleen be part of our family in 2011.
