29 weeks and counting

Hi All:
I cannot believe that I am almost into my 30th week of pregnancy. Where...where did the time go? I had a doctors appt today and I weighed in at 160 so I am 25lbs into the pregnancy and I measured 28cm..right on track. I did the glucose testing where you go to the lab, drink a flat orange like soda and then wait an hour before getting your blood taken. If I hear from them, I tested negative and will have to watch what I eat in regards to sugar. If I dont hear from them, all is well! Pray for no call as I would miss my sugar!! LOL

We are still on the bi-monthly appt's but start Oct 19th I start weekly appt and then Nov 4th I go to bi-weekly. I will be living at the doctors office HA. They will do stress tests at each visit and if any issues arrive like baby not moving as much or amino fluid is leaking, they will send me to the hospital to deliver. Yikes. I told her we had to hold until at least Nov 18th as that is when Chris will be home. COME ON BABY C...wait until pappa comes home!!!

Besides that the visit went well and all good.

Had our family baby shower this weekend hosted by my mom and it was fabulous. Really a great time. She out did herself and we had about 15 of us there. LeeAnn and Kate drove up and back with me and we picked up Andrea, who flew in from Vegas for the shower so it was a family/friends day for sure. Michael went up with us too but we dropped him off to hang with my brother in law and his cousins for a Sunday Funday. Thanks to all the family and friends who came and it was so great!!! I got so many awesome things and the one word that described the day was PINK. The cutest pink clothes and pink blankets and pink and purple socks...sorry Chris...pink is the word!!! LOL!
Some Collins family members sent in gifts and it was such a surprise but so nice to be remembered. Thanks to Barb and Jack, Shannon and family, Johnsons, Broadbents and Collins (Jen, Keely and Karen). Also had my cousins Krissie and Jill send in a gift. SO GREAT. We only have one duplicate onsie set and we even got BUTT PASTE from Kate. Way to go Kate on getting something from the registry that will be sooo needed. LOL!!! Thanks to Helen for handmaking some pink ribboned booties for the favors and again to Mom for all she did for the day!!! PERFECT!! I am working on thank you cards now and will get them off soon! Thanks again everyone. Baby C is going to be on spoiled, spoiled little girl!
Oh oh...and my sister, Robin came down from Oregon as a surprise for the shower. So great to see you Robnose and to have you here for a few days. Mom and Robin are here until Wed and so far good visit!!! Love you guys

Next shower is Oct 24th with Tina and Sara....unless Michelle, Lois and Bev pick another date before then but I think we are leaning toward the 7th of November for the last one!!!

I am off to Hawaii to see Chris fly on Wed and back on the 27th Monday. If anyone will be in Hawaii this weekend let us know. Michelle and Joey are flying out to meet us....cannot wait for some Porrazzo hang time.... and so is Chris's parents Barb and Jack. Alli and Andy live in Hawaii so we will try to get a night with them as well and see them Sat at the show. Plus quite a few of the wives are coming for the show so anxious to see all of them as well. Been way way too long.


Thanks to Michael and Trevor and Amy for watching and walking Oscar while I am gone. Knowing he is well taken care of and gets walked each day, makes it less stressful heading out for 6 days.

Well back to work for me. All is well with Baby C and she is kicking away during the "kick counts" each night after dinner. She is a quiet baby and doesnt move much at night at all so hoping she will sleep through the night quickly...I can dream right? and be a calm Collins baby...just like her mom and dad. HEE HEE
