Hi All:
Well today is the day that we go in and get induced to bring Baby C into the world. We got a call from the hospital last night checking in with us that we were good to go and to remind us to check in around 7:15pm and then they induce exactly at 8pm. For those that want to know details, they are going to putting some kind of little pills near my cervix to help open as I am already 80% efaced(?)/thinned out. They will also get my IV going (ICK..hate needles) and then start the PITOCIN to help the cervix/contracts along as well. I am trying for NO Epidural after seeing a stupid online video I should never have seen...but who knows, it might just be my next best friends once the labor starts.
If all goes like it did with Michael almost 22 years ago, I will delivery in 3-4 hours. So Baby C could have her BIRTHday on the 2nd or in the wee hours of the 3rd. I pray for an easy and quick delivery as I had with Michael..... but ya never know. I have lots of plans for the delivery and after but you know how that goes with planning deliveries....so for now, I will wish and pray for an easy birth. Can't ask for more than that...right?
Thanks to all of you for all your well wishes, prayers and thoughts. We need them all so keep em coming!!!
Chris is working today at CP for his last time before the baby is born. The military gives him 10 working days off so it will be nice to have him home once again for the 2 weeks counting weekends.
Michael is home today and then off to school tonight for a few hours. He will head home to watch Oscar for us and then he will come by tomorrow morning to see his new sister and then head back home to take care of house stuff and watch and feed Oscar. Chris is hoping to head home sometime on Friday to get some stuff taken care of and then back that night to help with the night feedings. He will head home on Saturday to catch up on sleep and do some weekend stuff before coming back that night for a few hours or back on Sunday to pick us up and bring us home. Home Sweet Home. Hoping to be home to watch some football and the Chargers. GO BOLTZ!
Visitors are welcome while we are at the hospital but you might want to text or call first to make sure we are not sleeping as we WILL be sleeping when the baby sleeps or not out with a nurse. My cell is 619-417-5804 and Chris's is 858-229-8638. We will be at Mary Birch Hospital in the Post Partum rooms I think on the 4th or 5th floor but ask at the front desk and they can direct you. We should be there Friday-Sunday morning unless they let me go home early on Saturday night but we will see.
Well last BLOG before Baby C arrives and the next one will be an update on how it all went, the official name...we are still deciding between the 2 although leaning toward one for sure..just waiting to see her when she is born to make sure the name fits and life with a new baby girl.
Thanks again everyone and have a great rest of the week and weekend!

39 weeks today....2 days and counting until Baby C arrives
Hi Everyone:
I had my last doctor appointment this morning and it went well. For those that think that my belly keeps getting bigger...I am STILL at 34cm, still weigh the same at 166lbs and the baby is still considered small. I have quite a bit of amnio fluid near the butt of Baby C so that was a good sign as well. I am 80% thinning but 0cm dialated. As my doctor says..."still closed for delivery".
The plan is still to head into Mary Birch Hospital at 8pm on Thursday the 2nd where they will place some "pills" onto my cervix to help dialate it and then start a pitocin with a small drip. When my doctor gets in on the 3rd at 7am, she will up the drip and away we will go unless I deliver before she arrives. I did confirm the doctor on call when we arrive through the night of the 3rd/morning of the 4th is a woman. YA!!!
I am doing well although done being pregnant. I am not sleeping well at night, coughing all night and the Braxton Hicks are pretty regular now. I am just tired of wearing the maternity clothes too. Not sure I am ready for the lil one to be here quite yet but definately done with being pregnant. LOL
We have the house ready for Baby C. Nursery done. Downstairs play yard, soothing maching/swing done. Bottles washed and formula bought. We also got our tree this weekend and put it up on Saturday, decorated on Sunday and put some already wrapped presents under it. We also have family Christmas stockings up pending a few more to arrive and hang. We are ready for the holidays!!!!
Chris started his new job at the ONE MEF today in Camp Pendleton. I will try to get the picture we took up but he looked handsome and ready to report. BEST OF LUCK HONEY on your first day!!! We are so proud of you.
Quick shout out to Shana and Jeff Kent as they just delivered a baby girl Savannah Dawn this past weekend. I cannot wait to meet there new lil pink bundle of joy!!! Congrats you two!!!
That is it. I will try to update the blog once we get home on Sunday the 6th or text those of you that I have your email or text. 2 days and counting for me to check in. WISH US LUCK!!!!

38 weeks today!!! 9days and counting!!!!
Almost there.....I had a great visit yesterday with my doctor once again..I thought it would be my last one but we scheduled one more on the 30th of November. Since I am still scheduled to be induced on the 2nd of DEC at 8pm and more than likely deliver on the 3rd, the 30th seemed like a good bet to have my last appt. Although I will say that the doctor said I am "Thinning" but still not dialated "closed for delivery" as she says...but the baby has dropped, head down and really moving which could mean she is preparing to come earlier than the 3rd. I have lots of fluid around the head and butt area and she says the baby is quite small. My guesstimate is that she will weigh around 6lbs when she is born but who knows, I know friends that deliver over 9 pounders when their doctors say their babies are small. LOL. I am still measuring small at 34cm so she hasnt grown much since she the ultrasound where they said she was around 4lbs 3+ weeks ago.
Our friend Emily, the muralist comes today to finish up the mural, add the name to the sign (as we have the name, we think, but still trying to keep it somewhat of a surprise), and some bugs to the garden and then add a little saying around the book shelf area. I cannot wait to see it finished as it is amazing today!! Thanks again Emily. Anyone need an amazing muralist that does so much more than nurseries, let us know.
We had the Porrazzo's over last night to watch the Chargers kick some serious Bronco butt...and Baby Max helped us pre-baby proof the house for our family with little ones coming for Christmas. It was fun to watch Max and Oscar(dog) play as it was hours of entertainment for sure. I am so happy that Oscar does well with kids!!!! Thanks for coming over Michelle, Joey and Max!!!
My mom and Earl come tomorrow for Thanksgiving at the Eads on Thursday. The Eads are our neighbors that cook up a Chef's FEAST for Thanksgiving. We actually invited ourselves over last year for this year and they are doing nothing less than GOING BIG again this year. Cannot wait. I just hope Baby C doesnt decide to come early with all of her activity lately as I really do want to have a good Thanksgiving with family and friends. We are then off to the Martins for a drink to celebrate the holiday as well...see you guys that night for sure. Thanks Deb, Matt, Leslie, Olivia, Dave, Amy and the boys for the invites! We are so excited to stay local for this holiday.
Well that is it for the most part. For those that heard about Oscar and his surgery, he is doing great. Got his staples out last week and I can't tell you how nice that was to have those out for MOM! He can lick away now without having to be yelled at and his scar is healing up nicely! I got big bandages to put over the top part and apply neosporin on it to help it heal faster but overall, he is back to normal. He has to limit his activity through the weekend but again, Oscar is back!!!
Have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!! Next update will either be 2 days and counting for delivery or BABY C will have arrived. Pray she at least holds out until Sunday. I would love to have the weekend to get stuff ready for Christmas before she shows up but then again, we are anxious for her arrival!!
Love to you all.

37 weeks + 2 days BIG UPDATE
Hi All:
Just got back from my 2nd bi-weekly appt with the doctor. With Chris home, I dragged (literally) him to the appt to meet Dr Ziania and to see what I go through twice a week. I am usually in and out of there in 30 min..even after the 20minutes on the stress machine to watch the babies heartbeat and my contractions BUT today...we were on the machine for over 40 minutes. Sorry Chris. It was fun to watch her HRATE go way up and for Chris to be there for it, it was quite a long time.
Then we headed into the room for a quick amnio fluid measuring ultrasound. Chris got to meet the doctor finally and she was great with us on the machine actually seeing the head, the butt, her 4 chambers of her heart and she was even breathing in and out with her diaphram...which the doc said is rare to actually catch a baby breathing which is a sign that the baby has no abnormalities. WAHOO!!! It almost made me cry hearing those words!! Yeah for Baby C!
She also checked for dialation and NOTHING. She used the phrase "YOUR CERVIX IS CLOSED FOR DELIVERY". HA
Well the big news is...we are going to take her early. I really want to make sure that I get a women OBGYN and I would love to have Dr Ziania and with her busy schedule schedule ONCALL for deliveries she was sure she would be working the first week of Dec so we should be talking later this week on the exact day. Dec 1st or 2nd were the dates thrown out there but depends on her schedule. I am 39 weeks on Nov 30th and that is Chris's first day to check in at Camp Pendleton so that will give him a day in and then wham.....he will be a father!!!
With my doctors group, they dont let anyone over 40 go 40 and with Baby C struggling to hit her "kick counts" and keep active during the stress test, she was open for a an early delivery. She noted I would have to be admited the night before and then they would do some cervix thining or something like that with hope the the morning, I would be starting to dialate for her to deliver!! YA!!!!
Well with that said, we need to get hoping on picking the name, getting a few more diapers and some formula in the house, bottles washed and more things ready sooner than later. With Chris home, I am sure that all be done tomorrow. Love that he loves to get things done. My Mr Handyman/Do'er!!!
So..more soon. My next appt and final appt will be Nov 22nd as then we have Thanksgiving break week and then walah...delivery on the 1st or 2nd. I will keep you all updated as we hear more but ya....Baby C is almost here.
Love to all,
Tracey

37 weeks ...whew.....
Hi All:
Hope everyone is enjoying their November and getting ready for TURKEY DAY. I am so ready to eat all the yummy turkies and fixings that the EADS bring to the table!! So excited!!
I had my 1st 37th week doctor appt today and have another one on Thursday for my bi-weekly appointments. All went well. I am still measuring in at 34 cm so still small as I should be 37 this week but overall I am right one track. I gained 2 lbs so up to 164. Yikes....I will have about 30 to lose when I deliver and I know Chris already has some big workout plans for us. GOD HELP ME NOW!!!
We did the stress test again where they track the heartbeat and the contractions and although I had minimul if no contractions for the 20minutes I was on the machine, Baby C was one wild one. She averages 145-165 for her HB but today she was like 165-180 ..even hitting a few times 182. The doctor said I must have pissed her off.
Her head was down again on the ultrasound, her butt to the left and her knees and legs/feet to the right. I could actually feel her today, during her wild moments on the right. I loved it.
I did test positive for Group B Strep but I guess it is quite common for women to have this bacteria and what it means is that during labor and delivery, they will start me on antibiotics to reduce the transfer from me to Baby C during the actual delivery. I read about it online this wknd and got a little freaked out, even call Tina to help with some home remedies (THANKS GIRLS) but the doctor today said not to worry. It is nothing to worry about it at all and knowing I have it is key to not tranferring it. Whew....
I will try to take some more photos of the nursery once we get up the shelving and such as we have a few things to it and added some things as well. Her closet is full and her room is packed with things to play with for years to come. Thanks again everyone for all you gave her and I. We are blessed.
Chris is on his way home. Trekking through Texas right about now. We bought a new Buick Enclave SUV and he said the ride has been smooth sailing and he loves the car.I personally cannot wait to see it. He took off from Pscola last night after his final dinner as team 2010 and got a few hours in, then slept and now back on the road. He is hoping to be home sweet home by Wed if not sooner. HURRY HOME HONEY but come home safe!!!
I start my Maternity Leave on Thursday although I am probably working through most of it except during delivery and down time after the birth. For us in Sales, we dont really have the time to take off and not respond to customers so wish me luck.
Quick shout out to Shana who is due a week earlier than I am. We are now emailing and keeping in touch as we seem to have some of the same last 2weeks symptoms and we are both ready for our babies to come!!! BEST OF LUCK SHANA and JEFF! Keep us posted on your arrival and we will do the same.
That is it for now!!! Have a great week. More updates soon!!

36 weeks..... and counting.....almost there!!!
Hi All:
Well today is officially 36 weeks. Next week at 37 weeks I am considered full term and I truly believe we will take Baby Girl C early..sometime between 37 and 39 weeks.
Had a doctors appt this morning and started my bi-weekly stress tests. Had a quick ultrasound and she is head down and looking good. Still small but amnio fluid is good. I am measureing in at 34cm so still a bit small as I should be 36cm but overall she is tracking well on growth.
I have to give a quick shout out to Michelle, Lois and Bev for throwing a great baby shower on Sunday. It was so great to see EVERYONE as it had been some time since I had seen some of you...and Baby C is now SET!!! She has everything a girl could ever want!!! Thank you everyone!!!
Oh and those asking about names...we dont have an official name yet. We have a list of names and will start discussing it more when Chris is home next week. We have some good ones on the list so wish us luck!
On that note, Chris is home on the 17th-18th. Cannot wait to have our family back as one unit again. His last 2 shows are this weekend in Pensacola, Fl so wish him well and I am sure he will fly hi and tight and have the flights of his life! GO #4!!!
For those asking about Michael, he is currently enrolled at The Arts Institute of California for Culinery. He goes to school Mon, Tue, Thurs and Saturday and seems to be really enjoying it. We will soon have a CHEF in the family which will be nice for family dinners for sure. GOOD LUCK MICHAEL.
For those asking about Oscar, we did find a cancer mast cell on his left side and had it removed. While he was in surgery they found a 2nd cell so the scar that was left behind was/is huge. I call it the Frankenstein scar with all the staples and hairless area. Poor guy. First day was hell as he didnt do well coming out of surgery but 3 days later, he is pushing through. He required 24 x7 watch so that is tough but so far so good. Thank you Amy for watching him today for me so I could go to the doctor!! Appreciate it!!!
That is it. Baby C and I are doing great and we are anxiously awaiting her arrival!!

35th week..... 5more to go if I last that long!
Hi All:
35 weeks today! Not much to write a blog about it as all is well. Braxton Hicks are coming quite a bit and more oftgen than not they stop my in my tracks. My next appt is this Thursday so hoping to get a few questions answered like where or who to call when I do head to the hospital, options for medication during delivery, early delivery with pitocin and much more.
I packed my bag last week with all the basics just in case and just in case some of you need to know where it is (MichelleP and Amy), it is in the back of my car. Little grey/blue bag. Only thing I need to add to it is some food and few other things but ready to go.
This past weekend I went shopping with LeeAnn (Thanks LeeAnn for hanging with me) and I got most of the little stuff I still needed for the baby. I had quite a few gift cards so used those and more! It was fun to shop but of course!!!
We have about everything we need and the nursery is ready to go!!! Looking forward to the shower at Michelle's this weekend. Seeing dear ol' friends and catching up is on the agenda for Sunday for sure!!
Chris is off to Homestead Fl for his 2nd to last show on Thursday so if you are in the area.....give us a shout. He would love the support. 15 days and counting until he comes home! WAHOO!!!
Well that is! Have a great week everyone!!
