Hi All:
BOO! and Happy Halloween Week everyone!!! Last week of October and November is quickly approaching. Where did this year go?
I had my 34 week doctors appt today and although it went well per my nurse practitioner, I left uneasy and with an ODD feeling on my end. Last week I measured 33cm and this week I measured 32cm so they are a bit concerned that I might be losing amnio fluid. Either that or my doc last week mis-measured? I have an full ultrasound scheduled for Friday at 8am (EARLY!!!) to check things out.
We did a quick ultrasound at the doctors office with their basic machine just to see things going on and it turns out that Baby Girl C is transverse in position which means she is lying side to side (my belly looks like a shelf)..not head up or head down. Her head is a bit lower on the right side so that is good that it is "headed" in the right direction and I still have weeks for her to truly drop and get into the birthing position but tranverse is suppose to be tough on the mom. I havent had much of an issue except sleeping as she is active at night once the lights go off and there is no noise. Then she pushes and shoves..trying to make room and it literally pops me up and down as I am laying on my sides.
She also has her legs pulled up to her face and she is holding onto them like a diver would do to flip around and gain speed before entering the water. That is the visual I got today when they told me. Again not a bad thing but odd as her head is on the right side and her butt to the left and then her feet to the right as well.
My nurse practitioner said that she had to guess, she would say I am going to have a tall baby with long legs but they will check the estimated (guesstimated) weight and height of Baby C during the ultrasound this week..along with the amniofluid.
We do need her to stretch out at some point so that I dont have to attempt to deliver with her doubled up as that will probably call for a C Section and I am so not wanting to go that route...but again we have time. Their concern on her stretching out is that there might not be enough room and if she truly did that, head down, her feet would be in my ribs for the last 4-5 weeks and it would be uncomfortable and hurt quite a bit. So again..not bad news..but odd news for sure.
I had the Tina and Sara hosted baby shower this past Sunday and it was incredible. They went with the football theme and went all out. As soon as pic's are sent, I will post a few on the BLOG site for sure. I got things from the registry, my play yard, full bathtub for upstairs, so many clothes, toys, diapers, formula dispensers and so much more. I have put them all away already attempting to stay above it all. Thanks again Tina and Sara for a great shower!!!! YOU GIRLS ROCK!
OHHHH I got an early Christmas Present from my husband yesterday!!! Thankfully Chris decided to trade in his JEEP Wrangler ( for those that know of the "JEEP", you know how happy I am!) that he has in Pensacola for a much needed SUV. We did some research and fell in love with the BUICK Enclave 2011. Fully loaded for the most part and cant wait to see it. Chris dropped off his Jeep yesterday and picked up our new SUV same day!!! He said it is really comfortable and he really really likes it!! YA!! Cant wait to see it come mid-November when he comes home.
Chris is off to Fort Worth TX for his 3rd to the last show. Tough to hear the season coming to an end and I am sure even more tough for Chris but he seems to be taking it ALL-IN for these past months. I couldnt be more proud of him and all that he has accomplished since the day I met him and I know that he has many other accomplishments to come. If you will be in TX this weekend, let us know. GO #4!!!
That is it for now. Back to work I go. Wish my luck on my ultrasound on Friday and say a prayer that Baby C turns head down, stretches enough for me to deliver naturally (NO C SECTION PLEASE) and that all goes right so that I can hold out on deliverying after Chris gets home. 21 days and counting....
Have a great week,
Tracey
